In order to continue growing sales and market share, Sheet Music Plus saw the need to accelerate their ability to add new and innovative features to their e-commerce site, as well as better empower the marketing and merchandising teams to make content changes to the site more quickly and without involving IT every time. In addition, with over 1.6 million SKUs on their site, Sheet Music Plus saw the need to improve “site search capabilities” and to offer more “user personalization”, in an effort to deliver more relevant and targeted shopping experiences.
The Solution & Results
AAXIS Commerce developed an entirely new e-commerce solution for Sheet Music Plus, built on Oracle’s ATG & Endeca Web Commerce platform, in approximately 10 months, from initial project elaboration to launch. The e-commerce solution included capabilities such as, multi-site, multi-currency, personalization based on dozens of complex, yet easy to customize, business rules using Endeca Searc and Endeca Experience Manager.
With the new site, Marketing now has full control of what they want to change on the site, when the changes can go live, and how often they want to make a change. This applies to graphics, banners, promotions, etc. Sheet Music Plus’ technical team is also able to leverage a significant number of out-of-the-box e-commerce features, which allows for greater focus on developing non-standard, highly innovative features that create meaningful differentiation in the market and help drive sales.
