As Executive Board Member, Raul works closely with AAXIS Commerce’s executive team to provide strategic and operational guidance.
Raul retired from Accenture after 33 years of service, where his core area of expertise focused on supply chain, industrial, and high tech companies. He started a long and successful career with the firm in Chicago. He then relocated for several years in Bilbao, Spain and Los Angeles, CA. He returned to Europe in 1999 to head the high tech practice and was based in Madrid. In 2001 he led the European & Latin American practices for telecommunications, media & entertainment, and high tech (CHT) and in 2002, he became the global COO for CHT. In 2003, he was asked by Accenture’s CEO to become the COO for the Products (industrial, automotive, health care, consumer products) practice. In 2005 his responsibilities shifted to leading the COOs of all vertical market units within Accenture before retiring in 2007.
Raul served as chairman of the board of Children’s Institute, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and families, from 2002 to 2010. In 2006, he founded A Thousand Joys, a non-profit consulting and training concern dedicated to helping organizations create healthy work environments for their employees and improve their overall effectiveness. It blends best business practices, proven psychological treatment approaches, and alternative methods to promote enduring positive change.
Raul grew up in Panama and completed his college education in the U.S., where he earned a BS degree in Chemical and Petroleum Refining from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Purdue University.
