According to a recent study by IBOPE/Net Ratings, Brazil has overtaken the US in terms of time spent surfing the net, with residential users in the country spending an average of 13 hours and 43 minutes a month online, compared to 13 hours and 21 minutes in the US. Brazil remains behind the US in terms of internet users, however, with just 12 million customers at the end of April. Given the continued growth of internet adoption throughout Brazil, AAXIS is excited to now be able to provide localized services across e-commerce development, digital marketing and strategic consulting in the region.
Having the largest economy by GDP in Latin America and Southern Hemisphere, the city is home to the São Paulo Stock Exchange. The city has the 10th largest GDP in the world, representing alone 10.7% of all Brazilian GDP and 36% of the production of goods and services in the state of São Paulo, being home to 63% of established multinationals in Brazil, and has been responsible for 28% of the national scientific production in 2005. According to a recent reports, São Paulo is expected to have the third highest economic growth in the world between 2011 and 2025, after London and Mexico City.
São Paulo is a located in the southeast region of Brazil. The metropolis is an alpha global city — as listed by the GaWC — and is the most populous city in Brazil and the Southern Hemisphere. The municipality is also Earth’s twelfth largest city proper by population.
